Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior Java developer to design and build scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot for enterprise banking and capital markets platforms.

The role covers RESTful API development, event-driven integration, and batch processing, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and DevOps practices. You will collaborate with analysts, PMs, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Strong expertise in Kafka, REST APIs, Spring Batch, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Hands-on cloud and container experience (AWS, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience delivering enterprise applications in Banking, Payments, Treasury, or Capital Markets.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain enterprise applications for banking, treasury, rewards, and capital markets platforms.
• Develop and support RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Implement workflow-driven solutions and maker-checker processes.
• Develop batch processing and cross-system data synchronization solutions.
• Integrate with external platforms, market data providers, and core banking systems.
• Optimize application and database performance for high-volume transaction processing.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and production deployments.
• Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.
