Job summary

The Adecco Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Java Developer with Big Data expertise to join a high-impact technology team supporting large-scale banking applications. You will work on enterprise-grade Java applications, build robust APIs and microservices, and participate in design reviews and performance optimizations.

With 8+ years of Java/J2EE experience, you will leverage technologies such as Spring, Kafka, Spark, and cloud platforms, while contributing to Agile, TDD, and BDD

Qualifications

• 8 years of Java/J2EE development experience
• Strong knowledge of Core Java (Java 8+)
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Web Services and Microservices
• Strong understanding of Kafka and IBM MQ
• Hands-on with Spark, Flink, Storm, HBase, Elasticsearch
• Experience with AWS, GCP or other cloud platforms
• Knowledge of Maven, Gradle, Jenkins
• Experience with Git, GitLab, JUnit, Cucumber, Jira, Sonar
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Release Management and Production Support
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Banking or Cash Management domain experience advantageous

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications
• Build robust APIs and microservices using modern frameworks
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Technical Leads, and Development Teams
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and performance optimization
• Implement high-quality solutions following Agile, TDD, and BDD methodologies
• Support testing, deployment activities, and production issue resolution
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best engineering practices
