Job summary

MAESTRO HUMAN RESOURCE PTE. LTD. is seeking a software engineer to develop and maintain applications through design, testing, and deployment within an Agile environment.

You will implement best practices, write clean code with Java (Spring Boot) and modern front-end frameworks, participate in unit testing, CI/CD, and collaborate with teammates to improve performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related field.

• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming and software development.
• Proficiency with Java and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with React.js or Vue.js front-end frameworks.
• Understanding of Git and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications based on functional and technical requirements to meet business needs.
• Participate in design, development, testing, and deployment to ensure successful delivery.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using modern development frameworks.
• Create and execute unit tests to validate software quality and reliability before release.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues to maintain optimal system functionality.
• Collaborate during Agile development activities like sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support CI/CD deployment activities under senior engineers’ guidance to streamline releases.
• Learn and apply software engineering best practices and design patterns to improve code quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and application performance.

Job Summary

Develop and maintain software applications by collaborating in design, testing, and deployment activities. Apply best practices to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions while supporting continuous process improvements in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications based on functional and technical requirements to meet business needs
• Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions to ensure successful delivery
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using modern development frameworks and technologies for long-term usability
• Create and execute unit tests to validate software quality and reliability before release
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues to maintain optimal system functionality
• Collaborate with team members during Agile development activities such as sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives to enhance team productivity
• Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) and deployment activities under senior engineers’ guidance to streamline release processes
• Learn and apply software engineering best practices, design patterns, and coding standards to improve code quality
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and application performance to increase efficiency and user satisfaction

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software development fundamentals
• Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot frameworks
• Familiarity with React.js or Vue.js front-end frameworks
• Understanding of Git or other source code management tools
