Job summary

ADECCO PERSONNEL PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Java/J2EE developer with deep Big Data expertise to design, develop and maintain data solutions for a bank's international Cash Management System. You will collaborate with BAs, PMs, tech leads and developers to deliver scalable, high-performance data platforms across global units.

Responsibilities cover requirements analysis, solution design, implementation, testing (TDD/BDD), documentation, and production support including L3 issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Java/J2EE development and hands-on big data tech.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and scalable data solutions.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and end-to-end IT system delivery.
• Familiarity with TDD/BDD and non-functional testing.
• Ability to review designs/code and prepare solution documentation.

Responsibilities

• Study and evaluate functional specs; provide feedback.
• Develop solutions following defined standards and quality.
• Provide detailed estimations for development efforts.
• Implement using TDD/BDD approaches.
• Perform non-functional testing and code reviews.
• Prepare design/implementation documentation; support testing phases.

Job description

Job Scope:

Design, develop, and maintain Big Data and data warehouse solutions for the bank's international Cash Management System. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Technical Leads, and developers to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions supporting cash management operations, regulatory reporting, risk monitoring, and back-office banking functions across global business units.

Main Responsibilities

• Study, evaluate, understand and provide feedback on functional specifications.
• Develop solutions following defined standards and high quality
• Provide detailed estimation for development of solutions
• Implement solutions using TDD, BDD approaches
• Perform non-functional testing
• Perform design and code review for other team members
• Prepare documentation for design and implementation
• Enable and support functional and user acceptance testing
• Perform L3 support of application in production – analyze and resolve issue as they arise

Qualification and Profile

• Atleast 7 years of relevant working experience in Java/J2EE development
• Hands on experience in big data technology development.
• Bachelor or Technical Degree in Computer Science, IS, or IT is preferred
• Good understanding & working knowledge with Agile/Scrum
• Hands-on experience of end-to-end design and implementation of complex IT systems

Technical Skills

• Solution design using proven patterns,performance tuning.
• Devops/ Release management/ production supportskills strongly preferred.
• Java/J2EE, Java 1.8and above is preferred to implement Parallelism and Concurrency.
• Must have knowledge onSpark/Flink/Stormto analyze and transform large amount of data.
• Must have knowledge onHBase, elastic searchto perform CRUD operations on big data.
• Must have good understanding onIBM MQ, Kafkafor message processing.
• Good knowledge onCloud Platform (AWS, GCP,etc)
• Should have knowledge onmaven, gradle, Jenkins, UML, Github copilottools to manage and build project.
• Should have knowledge onGIT, GIT Lab, Junit, Cucumber, Jira, Sonarto manage/test source code effectively.
• Should have good knowledge onSpring, Spring REST, Web services, gRPC, Micro services,framework to implement robust API’s.
• Must have knowledge on Kibana, spark UI, ELK to debug and identify the root cause of the issues.

Project Methodology

Understanding of corporate banking and cash management domain.
