Job summary

Helius Technologies in Singapore seeks an experienced Java Backend Developer with 6–8 years of hands-on experience to build and maintain enterprise Java applications, using Java and Spring Framework. The role focuses on API development and robust backend design.

You will work with MariaDB and MongoDB, Kafka, and CI/CD processes, collaborating with frontend, architecture, QA, DevOps and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure backend solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of professional experience in Java application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Framework.
• Backend development and service-oriented architecture expertise.
• Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with MariaDB and MongoDB databases.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with Git and modern software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services for enterprise apps.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust backend solutions.
• Design scalable, secure application components.
• Work with MariaDB and MongoDB; ensure data integrity.
• Troubleshoot backend and API issues and participate in integration.
