Job summary

Helius Technologies in Singapore seeks an experienced Java Backend Developer with 6–8 years of hands-on experience to build and maintain enterprise Java applications, using Java and Spring Framework. The role focuses on API development and robust backend design.

You will work with MariaDB and MongoDB, Kafka, and CI/CD processes, collaborating with frontend, architecture, QA, DevOps and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure backend solutions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in developing and maintaining enterprise Java applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework, with solid experience in API development and backend application design.

Experience with MariaDB and MongoDB will be an added advantage. Knowledge of Apache Kafka and familiarity with CI/CD processes will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Framework.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services for enterprise applications.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into robust backend solutions.
• Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure application components.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including MariaDB and MongoDB.
• Participate in application integration and troubleshoot backend and API-related issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.
