Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock’s MAST Asia Pacific team is looking for a Senior Investment Analyst to support the design of investment solutions and client servicing across Singapore and the region. You will perform quantitative analyses, build financial models, and assist in preparing proposals for new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Actuarial Science.
• 2–5 years’ professional experience in Investment Management, Banking or related fields.
• Prior knowledge of financial markets preferable.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, Bloomberg, and other critical applications.
• Coding experience (Python) and familiarity with BlackRock Aladdin an advantage.
• Collaborative team player with strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative investment analysis and construct financial models for design of investment solutions.
• Support portfolio managers across MAST Asia by maintaining proprietary models, evaluating opportunities and monitoring risk.
• Assist in preparing and raising trades for certain funds.
• Participate in the Global MAST investment idea generation via the Research Hubs framework.
• Perform ad hoc analysis for peer group design and market structure developments.
• Support MAST client servicing and pitching in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
