Job summary

Bank of China Limited in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Internal Audit professional to plan, organize and execute audit projects spanning banking, finance, operations and IT management. You will develop audit programs, prepare issue papers and audit reports, and ensure findings are presented objectively.

Strong English and Chinese-language skills, plus five years of banking audit experience (including AML exposure), are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher.
• At least five years of audit experience within the banking sector.
• Audit experience in both information technology, banking and financial operations is required. Candidates with additional audit experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) will be preferred.
• At least one relevant professional audit certification is required. Candidates holding additional IT-related professional certifications will be preferred.
• Sound knowledge of internal audit principles and practices, including Chinese regulatory requirements relevant to the Bank’s operations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
• Good project management skills, with the ability to manage audit assignments and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and spoken proficiency in English and Chinese. Chinese proficiency is required to review Chinese-language Head Office policies and regulatory materials, prepare documents and audit reports for submission to Head Office, and communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking Head Office stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute internal audit projects covering banking, finance, operations and IT management.
• Develop audit programs, prepare audit issue papers and audit reports, and ensure that audit findings are presented in an objective, accurate and comprehensive manner.
• Work with team lead to perform key risk event information collection and monitoring of core indicators.
• Gather and learn information of business policies and procedures, so as to obtain timely update of changes in businesses.
• Based on specialisation, work with team lead to perform remediation validation.
• Implement training plan.
• Complete other specific work arrangements by the department.
