Job summary

NCS is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Singapore. You will manage Windows Active Directory, Nutanix, and NetBackup, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance across our IT environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, implement automation with PowerShell and Python, and contribute to capacity planning, incident resolution, and best-practice documentation for enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
• 3+ years hands-on experience administering Windows Active Directory Server environments.
• 2+ years of experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure or similar virtualization platforms.
• 2+ years of experience with NetBackup or comparable enterprise backup solutions.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, storage management, and system architecture.
• Experience with incident management and problem resolution in enterprise IT environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with ITSM practices and processes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid IT environments (preferred).
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator or Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Windows Active Directory Server environments, including user management, group policies, and security configurations.
• Administer and optimize Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure platforms, ensuring efficient resource allocation and system performance.
• Manage NetBackup backup and disaster recovery solutions, including backup policies, recovery procedures, and data protection strategies.
• Monitor infrastructure systems and respond promptly to incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Perform system troubleshooting and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan capacity, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices to maintain organized and accessible knowledge repositories.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards across all managed systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and other departments as needed.
