Job summary

NCS is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its Singapore infrastructure team. You will manage Windows Active Directory, Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, and NetBackup across enterprise systems, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.

This role also involves automation scripting, incident response, capacity planning, and collaboration with IT teams. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in infra roles and strong scripting and networking skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.
• 3+ years administering Windows Active Directory Server environments.
• 2+ years with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure or similar virtualization platforms.
• 2+ years with NetBackup or comparable enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Strong scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent).
• Solid networking, storage, and system architecture knowledge.
• Experience with incident management and enterprise IT problem resolution.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Windows Active Directory Server environments, including user management, group policies, and security configurations.
• Administer and optimize Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure platforms, ensuring efficient resource allocation and system performance.
• Manage NetBackup backup and disaster recovery solutions, including backup policies, recovery procedures, and data protection strategies.
• Monitor infrastructure systems and respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or Python to streamline tasks.
• Perform system troubleshooting and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan capacity, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Windows Active Directory Server, Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, and NetBackup backup solutions. You will work with enterprise-level systems, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance across our IT infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives.

What will you do?

• Design, implement, and maintain Windows Active Directory Server environments, including user management, group policies, and security configurations

Qualifications

The Ideal candidate should possess

• 5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or systems engineering roles
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and managing Windows Active Directory Server environments
• 2+ years of experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure or similar virtualization platforms2+ years of experience with NetBackup or comparable enterprise backup and recovery solutions
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, storage management, and system architecture
• Demonstrated experience with incident management and problem resolution in enterprise IT environments
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) practices and processes
• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid IT environments
• Preferred: Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator or Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA)
