Job summary

GovTech is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to support cost control, budgeting and contract management for large-scale infrastructure projects. The role covers planning, design, construction and commissioning across multiple phases, with emphasis on cost optimization and value engineering.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree with 8+ years post-graduate experience in multi-disciplinary engineering infrastructure projects and familiarity with public sector gateway processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with professional registration an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years post-graduate experience in construction/infrastructure projects.
• Experience in cost control, contract management and cost planning across life-cycle stages.
• Familiarity with public sector gateway processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgeting and cost plans.
• Develop and implement value engineering strategies to optimise costs while maintaining quality and objectives.
• Prepare tender documents, evaluate tenders and assist with award.
• Post-contract management, variations, claims and cost risk management.
