Job summary

Pacific Life Re is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain modern IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. The role emphasizes automation, security, and high availability, with global collaboration across locations.

You will lead Windows Server and virtualization efforts, mentor junior engineers, and develop automation tools to optimize performance and reliability across data centers worldwide.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of IT infrastructure engineering, virtualization, and hyper-converged infra with automation focus.
• Deep expertise in Windows Server administration, operations, escalation support, and security best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable IT infrastructure across data centers and cloud.
• Provide escalation support for Windows Server issues and collaborate with teams to resolve incidents.
• Provide Level 1 Linux Server support and collaborate with teams on incidents.
• Define and implement security best practices and compliance for Windows Server environment.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide automation efforts across locations.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools for automated deployment, monitoring, and management.
