Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to lead hospital-wide infection control initiatives, collaborate with the Nurse Clinician/Senior Nurse Manager, and reinforce best practices across wards. The role focuses on preventing infections, investigating outbreaks, and training staff in IC protocols.

The candidate will participate in audits, pandemic preparedness, and contribute to research dissemination within the department.

Qualifications

• Valid SNB and BCLS.
• Relevant infection prevention and control experience.
• Advanced Nursing Diploma (or equivalent) preferred for Senior Staff Nurse position.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, implement and evaluate hospital-wide infection control programmes to provide a safe environment for the prevention and control of infection.
• Assist and collaborate with the Nurse Clinician or Senior Nurse Manager to develop plans for unit/ward participation in IC policies.
• Ensure staff practices comply with infection control protocols and address non-conforming practices during ward rounds.
• Assist in investigating outbreaks of infection or studies identified by the Infection Control Committee.
• Support systematic collection and recording of healthcare-associated infections.
• Assist in managing hospital, campus and national-level outbreaks.
• Plan and evaluate Infection Control audits and training, including pandemic preparedness exercises.
• Share research and projects at conferences/seminars, including publication of IC research.
• Teach and orientate new nursing staff and other personnel in the department.
• Evaluate effectiveness of patient education programmes conducted by units/wards.
