Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Senior Staff Nurse with infection prevention experience to lead hospital-wide infection control programmes and ensure staff adherence to IC policies during ward rounds.

You will collaborate with the Nurse Clinician and SNM, investigate outbreaks, support audits and training, and contribute to research dissemination at conferences. Valid SNB and BCLS are required; Advanced Nursing Diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid SNB and BCLS are required.
• Experience in infection prevention and control.
• Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent IPC experience preferred for Senior Staff Nurse position.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, implement and evaluate hospital-wide infection control programmes to provide a safe environment for infection prevention and control.
• Assist and collaborate with the Nurse Clinician or Senior Nurse Manager to develop unit/ward plans to meet IC policies.
• Ensure staff practices comply with IC protocols and reinforce good clinical practices during ward rounds.
• Assist in investigating outbreaks of infection or studies identified by the Infection Control Committee.
• Support systematic collection and recording of healthcare-associated infections.
• Assist in managing outbreaks at hospital, campus and national level.
• Plan and evaluate Infection Control audits and training programmes, including preparedness exercises for pandemics.
• Support the team in sharing research and projects at conferences and seminars, including publication.
• Teach and orientate new nursing staff and other personnel in the department.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient education programmes conducted by units/wards.
