Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore seeks an IoT Engineer to design, build, and deploy IIoT and machine vision solutions for advanced packaging tech development and factory enablement.

You will drive hands-on work from proof-of-concept to deployment, collaborating across teams to translate manufacturing needs into reliable data pipelines, signals, and insights, while prioritizing safety and practical delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IoT/IIoT, automation, or machine vision experience in industrial environments.
• Solid understanding of IoT architectures: edge computing, connectivity, data ingestion, and security.
• Proficiency in Python and software engineering practices (CI/CD, tests, docs).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear cross-cultural communication.
• Willingness to work in lab/factory settings and follow safety and change-control procedures.
• Machine vision hardware/software experience and algorithm development (OpenCV or similar).
• Experience translating manufacturing constraints into measurable signals and sensing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy IIoT solutions end-to-end: sensing, edge compute, data ingestion, and monitoring.
• Build machine vision solutions: camera selection, image acquisition, algorithm validation, deployment.
• Collaborate with process, automation, quality, and IT teams to translate needs into solutions.
• Apply engineering practices: requirements, design reviews, testing, documentation, and cybersecurity.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Contribute to technical planning: estimates, task handling, status updates, and risk communication.
