Job summary

GovTech Singapore seeks an experienced Hydrogeology engineer to lead modelling efforts for water resource management. You will analyse data from boreholes and tests, build and calibrate numerical models, and work with project consultants to deliver robust insights.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualifications in hydrogeology, geology, civil/environmental engineering.
• Proficiency in hydrogeological modelling software such as MODFLOW and GIS.
• Strong analytical thinking, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in hydrogeological modelling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of engineering models to understand hydrological systems.
• Data analysis from trial boreholes, hydraulic tests and geological studies.
• Develop and refine numerical models with project consultants.
• Calibrate and update models using field monitoring data.
• Prepare reports and presentations with findings and recommendations.
• Maintain standard protocols for model development, calibration and validation.
