Job summary

Hitachi Asia Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an HR Business Partner to oversee the full spectrum of HR matters for the Singapore office. You will partner with affiliated companies and lead global HR initiatives from the regional HQ in Asia.

You will drive business-unit collaboration through people analytics, talent acquisition, performance management, and HRIS enhancements, while ensuring compliant reporting and effective life-cycle HR support across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Understand & support Business Units toward business goals through human capital.
• Lead annual Hitachi Insight survey, analytics, focus groups, action planning.
• Provide advisory/guidance on HR matters.
• Drive process improvements for optimal business support.
• Acquire resources to meet business needs; manage vendors/channels/platforms.
• Oversee job portals and ensure smooth onboarding of new hires.
• Own end-to-end performance management policies, systems, and cycles; regional timeline ownership.
• Regional manpower reporting on a monthly basis; budgeting support.
• Internal reporting incl. system access, fixed assets, audits & HQ compliance.
• Oversee end-to-end employee life-cycle: onboarding to offboarding; HR advisor to employees.
• Oversee learning & development initiatives; partner with Talent Management for holistic growth.
• Cover duties within lean local team during long leaves (maternity, etc.).

The Job

Full spectrum of HR / HR Business Partnering role overseeing all HR matters in the Singapore office, providing shared management support to affiliated companies and global HR initiatives.

As Hitachi Asia Ltd is the regional HQ for Asia, there will be responsibility for leading key projects and providing guidance to our overseas offices in Asia region, as well as represent the company for global projects.

Business Partnering

• Understand & support Business Units towards achieving their business goals through human capital
• Responsible for annual Hitachi Insight survey, follow ups, analytics, focus group discussions and to support Business Units on action planning and taking action
• Provide advisory / guidance on all HR matters
• Process improvement and review to ensure optimal support for business operations

Talent Acquisition

• Provide efficient acquisition of resources to meet business needs
• Manage vendors, channels and platforms
• Handle job portals and ensure seamless on-boarding of new employees

Performance Management

• Process owner for end-to-end performance management processes in terms of policies, system and overall exercise for the company
• Regional responsibility in term of timeline & key activities of each cycle

HR management & manpower reporting

• Regional HR reporting for manpower reporting on monthly basis
• Handles annual manpower budgeting exercise
• Regular internal reporting such as system access, fixed asset, audit & compliance, HQ audit, etc
• MOM & government related reporting

Employee Life-cycle activities

• Overseeing the end-to-end employee life-cycle activities from talent acquisition, on-boarding / off-boarding
• HR advisor to all employees on HR related matters
• Global HRIS system owner and project lead on system enhancements

Learning & Development

• Overseeing all learning & development initiatives, activities & systems
• Partner with Talent Management team to ensure holistic development of all employees

Team coverage of duties

• Working within a lean local team, coverage of duties of team members in times of long leave eg Maternity, long holiday, business trips, etc
