Job summary

Ambition, a fast-growing EPC solutions provider, seeks a Senior HR Manager / HR Director to build its Singapore HR function from the ground up. You will own HR end to end, architect the HRBP model, and work directly with the General Manager and senior leadership to scale headcount.

This is a rare build-and-scale mandate requiring experience in org design, workforce planning, compensation frameworks, and HRIS selections while ensuring compliance with local regulations and CPF.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources or related field; professional HR certification an advantage.
• 12–15 years HR experience, with 5+ years leading full HR function at senior level.
• Experience in EPC/engineering/construction or pharma/manufacturing sectors advantageous.
• Proven ability to scale HR in high-growth/greenfield environments.
• Strong knowledge of org design, workforce planning and compensation benchmarking.
• Comfort with pace, ambiguity, and building HR foundations from scratch.

Job description

A fast-growing, established EPC solutions provider is scaling rapidly and has created a newly established Senior HR Manager / HR Director position to build its Singapore HR function from the ground up. This is a rare build-and-scale mandate, not a caretaker role - you'll own HR end to end, architect the company's HR business partnering model, and work directly with the General Manager and senior leadership to shape how the company scales, with real visibility and impact as headcount grows several times over.

Responsibilities

• Own the HR strategy for the Singapore entity, partnering with the General Manager and senior leadership on people plans aligned to the Company's growth and project pipeline
• Design and stand up a scalable HR Business Partnering (HRBP) model, coaching leadership on practical people-leadership habits as the team scales
• Lead organisational design, workforce planning and manpower budgeting through successive growth phases
• Set the talent acquisition strategy and build recruitment pipelines and employer branding for engineering, technical and project-delivery talent
• Design and evolve compensation, benefits and performance management frameworks that stay competitive and consistent as headcount grows
• Oversee HRMS/ERP system selection and implementation, and ensure full compliance with the Employment Act, MOM regulations, CPF and the Company's ISO-based management system
• Lead, coach and develop the HR & Administration team as it is built out

Requirements

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification or professional HR certification (e.g. IHRP-SP, SHRM-SCP) an advantage
• At least 12-15 years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years leading the full HR function independently at Senior Manager, Head of HR or Director level.
• Experience in EPC, EPCM, engineering, construction or semiconductor/pharmaceutical manufacturing organisations highly advantageous
• Proven track record scaling an HR function through a high-growth, start-up or greenfield environment
• Strong grounding in organisation design, workforce planning, compensation benchmarking and HRBP model design
• Comfortable operating with pace and ambiguity, and building HR foundations from the ground up
