InterContinental Hotels Group in Singapore is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to support the Executive Housekeeper with budget preparation, and to supervise standards across bedroom, bathroom, cleaning, linen, and public areas while coordinating daily cleaning schedules.
You will conduct room inspections, manage room allocations, liaise with Front Office and Engineering, ensure timely laundry processing, control stock, and lead daily staff briefings to maintain guest satisfaction.
Works with Executive Housekeeper in the preparation and management of the Department's operating budget
Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures in relation to, Bedroom service , Bathroom service, Cleaning service, Linen maintenance and Public Area Cleanliness
Recommended changes to these standards and training needs on an ongoing basis
Schedule daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deep cleaning program
Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems
Perform Room allocations
Perform Room inspections
Prioritise arrival rooms
Perform routine inspections of all public areas' cleanliness
Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements
Liaise and follow-up with Engineering on guest room and public area defects
Ensure guest laundry is processed and delivered in a timely manner
Co-ordinate special projects (example site rooms, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, room inventories)
Anticipate guests' needs and deliver True Responsiveness
Management of lost property for the hotel
Ensure you have complete knowledge of room types, layouts and facilities
Manage storage areas
Maintain adequate stock levels
Complete stock takes as required
Maintain stock levels
Manage & Maintain cleaning equipments
Participate in daily public areas walk to identify areas of improvement
Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
Recommended changes to these standards and training need on an ongoing basis
Solve employee grievances
Minimum Diploma or equivalent plus3 years'housekeeping experience preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity and including supervisory experience or training.
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.Able to speak, read and write English. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
