Job summary

Avnet is seeking a senior hardware engineer to drive reference designs and externally managed projects. You will collaborate with the Market Development team to meet timelines across focused applications, delivering high-speed PCB and embedded MCU/MPU designs.

This role requires deep electronics R&D experience, cross-vertical exposure, and hands-on CAD skills for schematic and PCB layout. You will support certifications and work closely with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience in semiconductors or electronics R&D/ product development.
• Experience in project management and technical support.
• Hands-on with CAD tools for schematic and PCB layout of high-speed design.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver internal reference designs or external Avnet projects to meet timelines and requirements.
• Navigate the full design cycle from concept to production release including feasibility, definition, testing and documentation.
• Provide on-site support and technical assistance across regions for focused applications/technology line cards.
• Assist in resolving product type approvals and certification issues faced by customers.
