Job summary

The Senior Golang Backend Engineer will build a cloud-native EV charging platform, designing scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices in Golang. You will work with product, infra, and DevOps to ensure reliability and production readiness.

You will collaborate on distributed systems, event-driven workflows, and performance optimizations, with PostgreSQL as the database and Docker/Kubernetes for deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience developing production applications with Golang.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid concurrency, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems knowledge.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience with Kafka and cloud-native environments (AWS or Azure).
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with distributed, real-time, or high-traffic systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices using Golang.
• Build scalable event-driven and asynchronous workflows for distributed systems.
• Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis where required.
• Work with PostgreSQL, including SQL queries, indexing, and performance optimisation.
• Develop and maintain integrations with external platforms and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on cloud deployments, monitoring, and operational readiness.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality, maintainability, and engineering best practices.
• Take ownership of assigned features and technical deliverables from development through production.
