Mott MacDonald in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to deliver iconic transport projects. You’ll shape design engineering excellence and support growth within our wider transport team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or geotechnical engineering from an accredited University.
• Coming into the role with more than 5 years of experience.
• Computer literate and familiar with digital technology, strong written and oral communication ability
• Experience in cut-and-cover structure design, projects geo lead and underground structures for transportation.
• Familiar with latest design software packages (Plaxis and others), familiar with codes and standards from Singapore and preferably also other countries.
• Willingness to commit to ongoing development of professional skill
• Enthusiastic and willing to work in a team environment
• Aspiring to professional qualifications such as Professional Engineer and/or Chartership.
• An understanding of commercial and engineering risk.
• Self-motivated with good organizational capability

Responsibilities

• Be involved in the delivery of a wide range of engineering projects including deep excavations, MRT and other projects.
• Produce documentation, including reports, engineering sketches, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and tender documentation
• Provide support to writing project proposals and business development
• Having an appreciation of the roles of fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects and interfacing and coordinating with them appropriately
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge and appreciation of current technical standards and practices and taking a ‘hands on’ role in technical matters. A role in driving to digital strategy within civil engineering
