Job summary

AECOM in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer to lead design and supervision for foundation systems, deep excavation, tunnelling and land reclamation projects. You will perform advanced analyses, prepare detailed reports, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders to progress complex infrastructure assignments.

The role requires 8+ years of geotechnical design experience, familiarity with soil-structure interaction, and proficiency in Plaxis and Slope/W.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant Geotechnical design experience in rail, land reclamation, etc.
• Familiar with numerical analysis of soil-structure interaction.
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Excellent technical and project management skills.
• Familiar with Plaxis and Slope/W.
• Conversant with statutory codes and requirements for site supervision, quality control, construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design geotechnical and structural elements for foundation systems, deep excavation, tunnelling and land reclamation works under supervision.
• Perform geotechnical analysis, calculations and design assessments including ground improvement works, foundation design, ERSS and instrumentation.
• Prepare detailed design reports, calculations and technical drawings for preliminary and detailed studies.
• Conduct site surveys, monitoring and review instrumentation readings; manage risk assessments and feasibility studies.
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities and project stakeholders to support design development and authority submissions.
• Assist with client management, satisfaction and weekly reporting on work programmes and project progress.
