Job summary

Micron Singapore is seeking a Gas Staff Engineer / Senior Engineer - Construction to design, install and optimize high-purity gas delivery systems for semiconductor facilities. You will lead process integration, safety protocols and on-site construction oversight, coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, reliable gas systems.

The role requires a bachelor’s in chemical engineering and 5+ years in gas system design with strong CAD and Aspen skills, plus excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in gas system design and engineering in semiconductor/high-tech.
• Strong knowledge of gas delivery systems and safety standards.
• Proficiency in CAD and process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen).
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design specialty and bulk gas delivery systems with storage, piping, process integration and scrubber units.
• Develop detailed drawings, P&IDs and specifications for gas systems.
• Perform flow, pressure and compatibility calculations to optimize systems.
• Review and approve construction submittals, shop drawings and plans.
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure regulatory and design compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery and Warranties.
• Lead safety implementation including emergency shutdown procedures and hazard analyses.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and preparation of operation manuals.
• Provide training for operations/maintenance on gas handling.
