Job summary

The Future of Finance Institute (FFI) in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to design and develop platforms and services that advance Singapore's financial tech ecosystem. You will work with banks, FinTechs and researchers to deploy solutions that address real business challenges and regulatory requirements.

This 1-year contract role offers the chance to shape technology solutions from an early stage, spanning frontend, backend, cloud and data environments

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of full-stack development experience
• Proficiency in Angular and React for frontend fintech apps
• Experience with Node.js/Express, Python Django/Flask, Java Spring Boot, or .NET Core
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, container orchestration, and microservices
• Previous experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or FinTech
• Proven secure coding practices for regulated environments
• Experience with CI/CD, SQL optimisation and database design
• Proficiency with Git and automated testing frameworks

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications
• Build platforms and APIs for financial institutions and partners
• Develop secure backend services, data platforms and integrations
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, cloud and data environments
• Translate industry challenges into practical technology solutions
• Shape architecture and engineering practices for the initiative

• Conduct reviews, troubleshoot and improve system security and reliability
