Job summary

FPT Software is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build and deliver digital products in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment in Singapore. This highly hands-on role turns ambiguous ideas into working web solutions across the full stack, collaborating with Product Managers, Designers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of hands-on Software Engineering experience.
• Recent experience actively developing and shipping production-grade software.
• Strong and recent hands-on experience with Node.js and the modern Node.js ecosystem.
• Proven experience building web applications end-to-end, covering frontend, backend, databases, APIs, infrastructure, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend and backend development practices.
• Strong understanding of modern web application architecture and system design.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure and cloud-hosted applications.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and modern software engineering practices.
• Ability to make sound technical and architectural decisions with appropriate consideration for scalability, maintainability, and delivery speed.
• Comfortable working independently within ambiguous or rapidly evolving problem spaces.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ideas into practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate web products end-to-end across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and deployment.
• Translate product ideas, business requirements, and user needs into working software quickly.
• Develop prototypes and production-ready solutions and iterate based on feedback and data.
• Make pragmatic architecture and technology decisions balancing speed, quality, maintainability, scalability, and risk.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and stakeholders through discovery to release.
• Establish fit-for-purpose engineering foundations including automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and improve application reliability and performance.
• Take ownership of technical outcomes across the full product lifecycle.
• Contribute reusable engineering patterns, components, tools, and practices.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation and promote strong software engineering practices.
