Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for a portfolio of enterprise digital products and platforms. This hands-on role blends full stack development, architecture, modernization, and delivery across diverse languages and codebases.

You will guide engineers, establish engineering standards, and coordinate with product teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams on priorities and migrations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on Full Stack Software Engineering experience, including senior/lead roles.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably React.
• Experience designing and developing backend APIs and services.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Ability to navigate, troubleshoot, and enhance applications across multiple languages and codebases.
• Experience with modern and legacy systems.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
• Ability to make technical/architectural decisions and evaluate trade-offs.
• Cloud-hosted infrastructure knowledge.
• Experience with Docker and containerised deployments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and modern delivery practices.
• Experience using logs, metrics, tracing, and monitoring tools; familiarity with AWS ECS/CloudWatch/OpenTelemetry; strong Git/code review discipline; SDLC/Agile expertise.
• Experience coordinating technical work across teams and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architecture guidance for a portfolio of digital products.
• Design, develop, review, and deliver frontend and backend changes across multiple codebases.
• Lead migration, modernization, and technology upgrade initiatives.
• Set engineering standards, review code, and enforce quality gates.
• Support cloud-hosted and containerised deployments, with DevOps and observability practices.
• Document architecture and runbooks; coordinate with product and stakeholders.
