Job summary

The National University of Singapore (NUS) Finance Team is seeking an Assistant Senior Manager to support grant claim processes and contribute to financial planning and analysis. The role emphasizes data analytics, audit foundations, and driving improvements across budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions.

You will lead data-driven insights, collaborate with faculties, and shape strategic financial decisions using Power BI and advanced Excel techniques.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
CMA/CPA or FP&A certifications are a plus.
Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, macros.

Responsibilities

Take end-to-end ownership of grant management, including preparation, review and submission of grant claims.
Leverage grant and student data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
Forecast and model grant funding, student numbers, and related financial impacts to identify variances and risks.
Assess financial implications of funding policy changes and present recommended actions.
Coordinate with faculties and central departments to resolve grant-related issues and improve data quality.
Drive process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency in grant management.
