Job description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Financial Lines Insurance Broker to join our growing specialty insurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of Financial Lines clients, providing expert insurance advice, negotiating with insurers, and delivering tailored risk transfer solutions across Directors & Officers (D&O), Professional Indemnity (PI), Cyber Liability, Crime, and related products.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, client relationship management skills, and experience working with local and international insurance markets.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Business Development

• Manage a portfolio of corporate and multinational clients across various industries.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and business partners.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
• Lead client presentations, renewal discussions, and insurance program reviews.

Placement & Broking

• Design and structure Financial Lines insurance programs based on client exposures and risk profiles.
• Prepare underwriting submissions and market presentations.
• Negotiate policy terms, conditions, capacity, and pricing with insurers.
• Market risks to local, regional, and international insurance markets.
• Secure competitive coverage solutions that meet clients' needs.

Renewal & Portfolio Management

• Lead renewal strategy and execution for assigned accounts.
• Ensure timely preparation of renewal reports, submissions, and quotations.
• Maintain accurate records within the broking system and CRM platform.

Market Development

• Develop strong relationships with insurers, underwriters, and wholesale brokers.
• Maintain knowledge of market capacity, underwriting appetite, and pricing trends.
• Participate in industry events and networking activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Law, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional insurance qualifications (ACII, ANZIIF, CPCU, or equivalent) are advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 4 to 6 years of insurance broking experience.
• At least 3 years handling Financial Lines insurance placements.
• Strong experience in D&O, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, and Management Liability products.
