Job summary

Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) invites applications for a Senior Finance Executive to support multiple business units, excluding Pathlight School, and oversee financial operations across the group.

You will handle monthly closings, prepare financial reports, budgeting, banking, tax, and audits, ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and company policies. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience with GL and treasury exposure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central is an added advantage.
  • IT proficient and familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly accounts closing and financial reporting.
  • Manage full set of accounts with timely month-end and year-end close.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial records per accounting standards.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for management with variance analysis.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with policies.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Oversee banking and treasury activities for group operations.
  • Liaise with banks on account operations and financing facilities.
  • Prepare documents for bank transactions, compliance, and credit reviews.
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity; provide investment analysis as needed.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual statutory audits.

Education

Degree in Accounting/Finance, or a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA)

Job description

Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) or ARC(S) is a non-profit charity organisation dedicated to serving individuals on the autism spectrum throughout their lives. Based in Singapore, ARC(S) offers a range of services and resources tailored to meet the growing concerns and needs of the autism community.

Reporting to the Senior Manager for Finance, the Senior Finance Executive will support the business units across the group (except for Pathlight School).

Key responsibilities
  • Monthly Accounts Closing and Financial Reporting
  • Manage full set of accounts and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accrals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records in compliance with accounting standards
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review including variance analysis against budget and prior periods, providing insights to management
  • Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with company policies
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting
  • Banking & Treasury (Group)
  • Liaise with banks on account operations, financing facilities, and documentation requirements
  • Prepare and submit required documents for bank transactions, compliance, and credit reviews
  • Monitor and prepare cash flow forecast and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs
  • Provide investment analysis to support business decision-making
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Audit, Compliance, Taxes
  • Liaise with external auditors for annual statutory audits and ensure smooth audit processes
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
  • Provide audit schedules and supporting documentation, and resolve audit queries promptly
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare corporate tax computation and submission, including coordination with tax agents where applicable
  • Maintain proper documentation in line with requirements from the IRAS
  • Others
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks/projects duties assigned
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance, or a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience with prior experience as General Ledger and Treasury
  • Experience in Microsoft Business Central is an added advantage
  • IT proficient and familiar with Microsoft suite of products
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to meet tight reporting deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
