Job summary

Autism Association (Singapore) (AA(S)) is seeking a diligent Finance Accounts clerk to support AP/AR cycles, bank payments, and monthly closing. You will post entries in SAP, prepare journals, and generate monthly financial reports while coordinating with multiple internal teams.

The role requires a Diploma/ITE in Accountancy with at least 3 years of accounting experience, proficiency in MS Excel, and accuracy-focused work style. On-site position in Singapore with a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or ITE certificate in accountancy with at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; SAP knowledge is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts Payable process, including supplier invoice verification, coding, posting and data entry.
  • Handle bank payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable process, including billing and collections.
  • Prepare journal vouchers and post accounting entries in SAP.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, related-party reconciliations, and cross-charge transactions.
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and monthly depreciation entries.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial reports and updates.
  • Support month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with external audits and budgeting exercises.
  • Participate in new process and system implementations and other finance-related projects.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (schools, centres, and HQ) on finance matters.
  • Perform other duties and ad-hoc assignments as required.

Your Impact and Contribution
  • 1. Manage the Accounts Payable process, including supplier invoice verification, invoice coding and posting, and accurate data entry. (Core Responsibility)
  • 2. Handle bank payments, ensuring payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner. (Core Responsibility)
  • 3. Manage the Accounts Receivable process, including billing and collections.
  • 4. Prepare journal vouchers and post accounting entries accurately into the accounting system (SAP).
  • 5. Perform bank reconciliations, related-party reconciliations, and cross-charge transactions.
  • 6. Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and manage monthly depreciation entries.
  • 7. Prepare and generate timely and accurate monthly financial reports and updates.
  • 8. Support the Finance team in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and necessary adjustments.
  • 9. Provide support for the annual external audit and budgeting exercises, including preparation of relevant schedules and supporting documents.
  • 10. Assist with new process and system implementations and other finance-related projects as required.
  • 11. Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders, including schools, centres, and headquarters, on finance and accounting matters.
  • 12. Perform any other duties and ad-hoc assignments as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma, ITE Certificate in Accountancy, Finance, or an equivalent qualification. with at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of SAP is an added advantage
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Independent, organised, and a good team player, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
