Job summary

Aureus Group is seeking a Senior Finance Executive to support the Financial Controller in overseeing all financial aspects of the business and shaping the company’s financial strategy. You will assess financial performance, risks, and investment opportunities across Aureus Group of companies.

The role involves managing monthly closing (AR/AP/FA), reviewing P&L and balance sheets, supervising finance staff, and coordinating with IT to enhance reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / ACCA (or equivalent)
• 8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
• IPO listing experience would be advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
• Experience with Netsuite and CRM is preferred but not required
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality with financial data
• Independent worker who can also collaborate in a team
• Strong written and spoken English skills
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly GL closing including AR, AP, and fixed asset close for Aureus Group of companies
• Review P&L and Balance Sheet schedules
• Supervise accounting and finance personnel
• Manage inventory reconciliation and monthly GTO reports
• Oversee IFRS 116 Lease accounting
• Handle bank reconciliations
• Manage Income tax, GST, and other IRAS reporting
• Maintain internal control processes (Inventory/AR/AP/FA)
• Assist Financial Controller with monthly reporting, cash flow and analysis
• Liaise with IT to improve accounting/reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations
• Monitor financial position and identify process improvements

Mission of the Position

The mission of this role is to assist the Financial Controller to oversee all financial aspects of business and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning. He/She will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly GL closing process including oversight of AR, AP and FA closing for Aureus Group of companies
• Review of P&L and Balance Sheet schedule
• Supervise a team of accounting and finance personnel
• Manage inventory reconciliation and review monthly GTO report
• Overseas IFRS 116 Lease accounting
• Manage bank reconciliation
• Manage Income tax, GST and other tax reporting required by IRAS
• Manage internal control process (Inventory/AP/AR/FA, etc)
• Assist Financial Controller in preparation of monthly reporting, cashflow and analysis work.
• Liaise with IT team to improve existing processes and reporting functions within accounting and operational systems
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, best practices and local government regulations
• Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
• Take a pro‑active approach to identify opportunities to implement process improvement in the full financial process

Skills, Traits and Competencies

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / ACCA
• At least 8 years' of relevant experience, 2 years of which at managerial level
• Experience is handling Pre and Post IPO listing would be advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
• Experience in using Netsuite and CRM preferred but not required
• Positive Attitude with the ability to keep all financial details confidential.
• Independent worker, resourceful, able to work in a team and show initiative
• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
