Job summary

SGS is the world’s leading Testing, Inspection and Certification company. A Senior Finance Analyst is sought to support M&A, investment evaluation, and corporate development while contributing to financial planning and performance management.

The role involves working with management to evaluate acquisition opportunities, build financial models, support due diligence, and monitor post-acquisition performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
• ACCA, CPA Australia, CA or equivalent is advantageous.
• Experience in M&A, corporate development, transaction advisory, FP&A, financial modelling, investment analysis, or commercial finance.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
• Exposure to financial due diligence, acquisition evaluation, integration planning, or post-acquisition performance tracking would be an advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Oracle, ERP systems, and data visualisation/reporting tools would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential acquisition and investment opportunities through financial analysis and business case assessment.
• Develop financial models, valuation analysis, scenario analysis, and investment proposals.
• Support financial due diligence and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisers where required.
• Analyse the financial and commercial performance of potential acquisition targets.
• Support management in assessing the financial impact, risks, and potential returns of investment opportunities.
• Assist with post-acquisition integration, including financial planning, synergy tracking, performance monitoring, and reporting.
• Support other corporate development and strategic projects as required.
