Job summary

BGN in Singapore is seeking an experienced Chartering Manager – Tankers (CPP) to join our team. The role focuses on managing chartering activities, developing commercial opportunities, and supporting the freight strategy across the Far East.

You will monitor tanker market developments, negotiate chartering deals, build client relationships, and work with internal teams to ensure efficient fixtures and voyage execution, reporting to Head of Freight in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional tanker market experience with Far East exposure.
• Strong commercial awareness of tanker freight markets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-management skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using IMOS or equivalent voyage/chartering systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse tanker market developments, freight rates, tonnage availability and cargo opportunities in the Far East.
• Identify and develop commercial opportunities with owners, charterers, brokers, and market participants.
• Negotiate and conclude chartering business in line with the company's strategy.
• Maintain relationships with clients and counterparties; provide market updates to Head of Freight.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient fixture and voyage execution.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting using relevant systems.
