Job summary

Aptiv is hiring a Failure Analysis Engineer/Senior Engineer in Singapore to lead analyses of automotive electronics and to standardize FA methods. The role requires advanced degrees in materials or electronics and substantial FA lab experience, with leadership and communication skills to mentor technicians.

You will collaborate with global teams, perform SEM/EDX, FTIR, CT Scan and other analyses, and help advance lab capabilities across 4M aspects to support customers.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master/Bachelor in related fields with strong FA background.
• 5–7 years in semiconductor or automotive electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with failure analysis tools and lab operations.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform analyses of automotive electronics products.
• Develop lab strategies and methods for failure analyses and tear-downs.
• Standardize FA techniques for faster analysis.
• Collaborate with local and global teams as needed.
• Lead FA technicians on elemental & metallurgical analyses (SEM/EDX, FTIR, micro cross section).
• Perform non-destructive analyses (CT Scan, SAM, Laser Confocal).
• Participate in and demonstrate FA capabilities to customers.
