Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) in Singapore is seeking an experienced Cost Control Specialist to lead cross-functional cost saving programs within semiconductor manufacturing. You will develop costing methodologies, monitor payback, and present results to Fab GM and Senior Management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in industrial/manufacturing engineering, 3+ years in wafer fab environments, strong IE methods, and proficiency in JMP/SQL/Tableau or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in semiconductor manufacturing with wafer fab exposure.
• Experience in capacity planning, cycle time management, WIP control, and productivity in fab.
• Strong IE methodologies knowledge: line balancing, bottleneck management, cost modelling.
• Proficient in data analysis tools and systems: JMP, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, PROMIS.
• Good communication and presentation skills to translate data into insights.
• High accountability, adaptability, and ability to thrive in fast-paced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and drive cross-functional cost saving projects aligned to corporate goals.
• Define cost estimation scope, assumptions, constraints, and methodologies.
• Develop and implement cost recording, reporting, and analysis standards.
• Monitor program progress, pay-back, risk, resources, interdependence, and gaps.
• Coordinate with project management to resolve issues and ensure delivery.
• Provide cost control and planning advice to operations.
• Identify roadblocks and execute resolution plans.
• Assist in financial closeout of cost saving projects.
• Establish structure, manage dependencies, and track milestones.
• Collaborate with sponsors and stakeholders on scope, goals, deliverables.
• Involve in program dependencies and prioritization.
• Drive cost savings to meet short-term and long-term goals.
