Job summary

Senior Executive – Indirect Materials & Services Procurement APAC is responsible for freight and logistics sourcing across air, ocean and land transport for Singapore operations and APAC projects. You will develop sourcing strategies, lead RFQ/tender processes, negotiate terms and contracts, and drive supplier performance in a complex, matrix environment.

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least six years of procurement experience, with hands-on logistics/freight exposure.

• Six years of procurement experience with hands-on logistics/freight.
• Experience in freight sourcing across air/ocean/land is required.
• Strong RFQ/tender management and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage indirect procurement activities with focus on freight and logistics sourcing across air, ocean and land transportation.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimise cost, service levels and supply continuity.
• Lead end-to-end RFQ/tender processes, including supplier selection, commercial evaluation and negotiations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts, working with Legal and internal stakeholders.
• Manage supplier qualification, performance evaluation and supplier improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve TCO, service quality, lead times and supply security.
• Work with Operations, Quality, Technical and regional procurement teams on sourcing initiatives.
• Support APAC and global procurement projects and initiatives.

Our client is seeking a Senior Executive – Indirect Procurement to support Singapore operations and contribute to APAC procurement initiatives. The role will have a strong focus on logistics and freight procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage indirect procurement activities, with a strong focus on freight and logistics sourcing across air, ocean and land transportation.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimise cost, service levels and supply continuity.
• Lead end-to-end RFQ/tender processes, including supplier selection, commercial evaluation and negotiations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts, working closely with Legal and internal stakeholders.
• Manage supplier qualification, performance evaluation and supplier improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve TCO, service quality, lead times and supply security.
• Work closely with Operations, Quality, Technical and regional procurement teams on sourcing and supplier-related initiatives.
• Support APAC and global procurement projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' procurement experience, including hands-on logistics/freight procurement experience.
• Experience in freight sourcing and carrier management across air, ocean and/or land transportation.
• Strong experience in RFQ/tender management, negotiation, supplier management and contract execution.
• MNC/matrix environment experience preferred; Chemicals, FMCG or manufacturing experience is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of SAP Purchasing/Procurement.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• CPSM or other procurement certification is an advantage.
