Job summary

Sentosa Development Corporation in Singapore is seeking a hands-on staff member to support the Sentosa Express Monorail System’s Operations, Maintenance and Asset Management. You will manage long-term contractors, drive predictive maintenance using data insights, and handle safety-focused upgrades.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in management and maintenance of electrical/electronic/mechanical systems.
• Experience in transit or monorail systems is an advantage.
• Familiar with data analytics tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Engage OEMs and term contractors to understand fault causes and prevent incidents.
• Manage life cycle of assets, licensing and regulatory matters for Sentosa Express Monorail.
• Liaise with contractors to satisfy daily train operations requirements.

Job description

What the role is:

Employed as a staff of Sentosa Express Services under Service Accessibility and Transport Department. The primary role is to support the Operations and Maintenance and Asset Management of the Sentosa Express Monorail System.

This involves contract management on long-term term contractors and OEMs to ensure KPIs compliance, driving data-led predictive maintenance and managing overhaul and system upgrade projects.

Additionally, the role handles incident investigations and root cause analyses, while championing knowledge management. The ultimate goal is to guarantee system safety, reliability and service excellence to deliver a positive guest experience for all stakeholders.

What you will be working on:

• Actively engage OEMs, Term Contractors to acquire deep knowledge on causes of faults, incidents. Develop measures to prevent similar incidents and pro-active check.
• Life Cycle Management of Assets, Licensing and Regulatory pertaining to Sentosa Express Monorail system.
• Liaison with Term Contractor diligently and proactively to ensure smooth and seamless daily train operations’ requirements are met.
• Zone management to ensure the upkeeping and functionality of the Sentosa Express zone.
• Ensure security and safety policies and methodologies are consistently implemented in all operational activities and associated processes and procedures.
• Manage and deconflict operational impacts associated with island activities (including special events, public/school holidays, and construction related works).
• Monitor and advise contractors in ensuring planned preventive and/or corrective maintenance is timely carried out in accordance with the submitted schedule.
• Supervise and ensure planned preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out by term contractor in accordance with the checklists, specifications & requirements of the contract, relevant authority’s rules, regulations & code of practice.
• Assist in procurement process, such as preparation of tender specifications and requirements, approval paper for variation order and direct contracting & etc.
• Liaison with Operations staff on all daily issues, i.e., shut-in/out of train to/from depot, disruption of train service & other technical matters.
• To perform duty officer role in according to shift duty roster and/or on ad-hoc corrective maintenance works including weekends and public holidays.
• Ensure safety policies and methodologies are consistently implemented in all operational activities and associated processes and procedures.
• Involvement in Express system overhauling / upgrading / improvement works.
• Ensure audits for inventory spares & workplace safety are conducted by term contractor on a regular basis based on the SOP & tender requirements.

What we are looking for:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Management & Maintenance of Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical system.
• Experience in Transit or Monorail system is an advantage.
• Equip with the knowledge and/or familiar with data analytics tools & software.
