Job summary

MSIG Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a capable professional to support staff development and client management within its general insurance operations. The role involves mentoring junior staff, underwriting guidance, and collaboration with MSIG Asia and overseas units.

The successful candidate will participate in company committees, manage credit controls, and drive efficiency across departmental processes while handling a range of duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education is required.
• Relevant qualifications in general insurance (minimum CGI) will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach junior staff by enhancing their product/ market knowledge.
• Identify and develop potential business areas and maintain professional relationship with existing and potential customers. This shall include provision of technical advice on customers' insurance need.
• Review, accept and underwrite business within Risk Acceptance Authority and guidelines including claim matters, recommendations on wordings and liaison with MSIJ, MSIG Asia, overseas Business Units and reinsurers.
• To participate at company level committees for ad-hoc projects to improve and expand Company's operations/ business.
• Manage and implement proper credit control procedures and bad debt recovery.
• Ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in work processes within the department
• To undertake any other duties as may be assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Development
