Job summary

Children's Aid Limited in Singapore is seeking a Senior Executive, Communications to craft engaging stories and materials that raise awareness of CAL's work and support fundraising and partnerships.

You will manage CAL's content calendar across social media, website and donor communications, work with programme teams and external vendors, and ensure safeguarding when stories involve children and youths.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media, Public Relations or a related field.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in communications, content development or digital marketing.
  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media and digital content.
  • Working knowledge of Canva or similar tools; basic photography or video editing skills would be an advantage.
  • Good project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and take work from concept through to execution.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Sensitivity and sound judgement when communicating about children, youths and vulnerable communities.
  • Experience in the social service, non-profit or fundraising sector would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling stories and content that showcase CAL’s work, impact, programmes and partnerships.
  • Work with programme teams and relevant stakeholders to identify stories, milestones and outcomes for communications.
  • Write and edit content for different audiences and platforms, including articles, social media, website and donor/partner communications.
  • Ensure stories involving children and youths are handled sensitively and in accordance with safeguarding, consent and confidentiality requirements.
  • Develop communications content and materials to support fundraising campaigns, appeals, events and donor/partner engagement.
  • Work closely with the Community Partnerships team to translate fundraising and partnership needs into effective communications.
  • Develop campaign materials across relevant channels, including social media, EDMs, website and digital assets.
  • Support corporate partners and third-party fundraisers with approved communications materials where required.
  • Manage CAL’s content calendar and social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Develop and publish engaging digital content, including simple graphics, photos and short-form videos where appropriate.
  • Maintain and update CAL’s website content to ensure information remains accurate and current.
  • Monitor basic social media and digital performance and identify opportunities to improve reach and engagement.
  • Coordinate communications requirements across programmes, campaigns, events and partnerships.
  • Coordinate external designers, photographers, videographers and other vendors where specialist support is required.
  • Support the consistent application of CAL’s brand and messaging across communications materials.
  • Maintain an organised library of communications materials and creative assets and support basic performance reporting.

Role Purpose

The Senior Executive, Communications supports Children’s Aid Limited’s communications efforts by developing engaging content that strengthens awareness of our work and supports our fundraising and partnership objectives.

Working within the communications strategy and direction set by the Head, Community Partnerships, the role is responsible for bringing communications initiatives from concept through to execution, working with internal teams and external vendors where required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Storytelling & Content
