Job summary

STMicroelectronics Singapore seeks a Production Equipment Engineer to own etch tools (LAM XLE & LAM Rainbow) and drive uptime, MTBF, and MTTR targets. You will lead preventive maintenance, complex troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.

Work with process engineering to ensure CD, profile, uniformity, and defectivity targets. Analyze tool logs and wafer maps, support CIP/Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and coach junior staff on SOPs and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor Etch, familiar with Etch equipment (LAM XLE and LAM Rainbow).
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• High interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, and 8D methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain assigned tools (LAM XLE and LAM Rainbow); improve OEE, MTBF, MTTR; monitor equipment health.
• Plan and perform preventive maintenance; lead complex troubleshooting and RCA; coordinate field service engineers.
• Collaborate with process engineering to support CD, profile, uniformity, defectivity; analyze tool logs and wafer maps.
• Support CIP/Lean/Six Sigma projects; participate in capacity upgrades and equipment enhancements.
• Develop SOPs, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides; document events in CMMS/EHS systems.
• Ensure compliance with EHS rules, safety audits, and relevant quality management systems.
