Job summary

BW Offshore Limited in Singapore seeks a Senior Estimator to develop and maintain reliable cost estimates for FPSO CAPEX and EPCI projects across concept to execution tender phases.

The role supports tender submissions, investment decisions and project execution, and requires strong analytical skills and fluent English. The position is based in Singapore on a temporary basis for 24 months.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• More than 10 years of cost estimating or cost engineering in offshore projects.
• Experience preparing estimates for concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and execution EPCI tenders.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication, fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of cost estimates from concept studies through execution tender submissions.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, procurement, planning and operations into a single estimate.
• Obtain, evaluate and compare quotations from vendors, yards and subcontractors.
• Review estimate inputs for accuracy, consistency and completeness.
• Present estimate assumptions, risks and outcomes at management reviews.
• Maintain traceable estimating documentation and records.
• Apply estimating methodologies and cost forecasting across projects.
• Ensure estimating activities comply with procedures and HSE requirements.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of cost estimates from concept studies through execution tender submissions


• Coordinate inputs from engineering, procurement, planning and operations disciplines into a single estimate


• Obtain, evaluate and compare quotations from vendors, yards and subcontractors


• Review estimate inputs for accuracy, consistency and completeness


• Present estimate assumptions, risks and outcomes at management reviews and decision-gate meetings


• Maintain clear, traceable estimating documentation and supporting records


• Apply estimating methodologies, classifications and cost forecasting practices consistently across assigned projects


• Ensure estimating activities comply with company procedures and applicable quality, health, safety and environmental requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering or similar discipline), or equivalent relevant experience


• More than 10 years of cost estimating or cost engineering experience within offshore oil and gas projects


• Experience preparing estimates for concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and execution EPCI tender phases


• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail


• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior management


• Fluent written and spoken English

Nice To Have

• FPSO CAPEX project experience


• Working knowledge of estimate classification and cost risk methodologies, including AACE International practices


• Experience evaluating vendor, shipyard and subcontractor pricing


• Commercial understanding of project cost drivers and value creation


• Proficiency in estimating and cost risk analysis software


• Strong collaboration skills and experience working across multidisciplinary project teams


• Ability to work effectively under tender deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy
