Job summary

Seatrium in Singapore is seeking an Estimating Support professional to assist in preparing cost estimates for offshore engineering projects. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure that estimates align with project scopes and timelines.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in a relevant discipline and has 1–3 years of experience in a marine or offshore environment. This role demands effective communication and organizational skills, and you will be responsible for conducting market research, estimating costs, and preparing documentation for bids and submissions.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in cost estimating, quantity surveying, or project support in a marine and/or offshore environment.
• Familiarity with ship repair, offshore platform fabrication, or rig repair processes is preferred.
• Basic ability to read technical drawings and project specifications.
• Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist in the preparation of detailed cost summaries and comparative pricing reports.
• Analyze past project data and lessons learned to improve estimating accuracy and competitiveness in future tenders.
  
  

Contractual and Commercial Awareness

• Assist in reviewing contractual and commercial sections of tender documents to identify key cost implications and compliance requirements.
• Help ensure that cost estimates align with commercial expectations, contractual terms, and client specifications.
• Support the preparation of documentation required for bid submissions and commercial evaluations.
  
  

Team Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with other members of the estimating and commercial teams to ensure successful delivery of bids and proposals.
• Support knowledge-sharing within the team to build awareness of cost drivers in offshore upgrades and repair works.
  
  

Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ)

• Follow all HSEQ procedures and guidelines throughout estimating activities.
• Ensure consideration of HSEQ requirements in project estimates, particularly for offshore environments and high-risk operations
  
  

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on marine and offshore industry trends, pricing shifts, and best practices in cost estimating.
• Participate in post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and apply insights to future estimating work.
  
  

Job Requirements
