Job summary

Singtel is seeking an experienced IT Architect to lead architecture efforts for strategic accounts in Singapore. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver cost-efficient, scalable solutions across platforms and services.

The role emphasizes driving standardisation, evaluating emerging technologies, and guiding pilots to validate new approaches while staying aware of competitive differentiators and market needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5 years in IT architecture roles, telco/enterprise experience.
• Strong networking and digital platform expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner the account sales team to qualify customer needs and drive presales engagement.
• Define business and technical requirements including regulations and drivers.
• Lead RFI/RFP opportunities with solution ownership across teams.
• Develop architecture specs, blueprints and standards adopted across projects.
• Evaluate new tech and platforms (AI/ML, big data, APIs) for adoption or deprecation.
• Drive standardisation and simplification across architecture landscape.
• Support pilots to validate approaches and technologies.
• Identify business value opportunities and align architectures to cost-efficient solutions.
• Lead strategic accounts and cross-BU solution blueprint handover to operations.

Make An Impact By

• Partner the account sales team in the qualification of customer needs and performing presales engagement to assigned sectors and accounts.
• Responsible for understanding, defining business and technical requirements including regulations, business drivers, ecosystem factors etc.
• Accountable in influencing and leading all technical and RFI/RFP opportunities generated from assigned accounts with clear solutioning ownership.
• Develop and document architecture specifications, blueprints, reference models and standards; ensure they are adopted across projects.
• Evaluate new and emerging technologies & platforms, tools, frameworks (e.g. quantum, AI/ML, big data, integration, APIs) and recommend adoption / deprecation of existing technologies.
• Drive standardisation, reusability, and simplification across the architecture landscape (e.g. reducing duplication, rationalizing applications, aligning data models) including best-practices, guidelines & operating models.
• Support proof-of-concepts / pilot initiatives when required, to validate approaches or technologies.
• Staying current on competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors.
• Identify business value opportunities through technology / data / integration, and ensure architectures support cost-efficient, robust and future-proof solutions.
• Taking lead in strategic accounts and industry planning with account team to ensure technical competencies alignment to key go to market planning.
• Taking lead in solution that could involve more than one business units (BU) or cross functional requirement from design, build, optimize, presentation leading to solution blueprint briefing hand over to operational team.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, solution architects, infrastructure teams, operations, vendors etc. to ensure alignment, resolve trade-offs, and support solution delivery
• Support marketing and industry events – participating in technology and industry conferences, trade shows, webinars etc

Skills For Success

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience of 5 years in IT architecture roles, including experience within telco or large enterprise settings.
• Expertise in networking, digital platforms, or Managed Services.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing skills; ability to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical or executive stakeholders.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, TOGAF are an added advantage.
