Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead and coordinate all site commissioning activities for ship systems. You will plan deployment, prepare procedures, supervise现场 work, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Applicants should have a degree or diploma in Naval Architecture/Marine/Electrical fields and relevant shipboard experience. The role involves liaising with OEMs, documenting records and ensuring timely project progress.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture/Structural/Marine/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related studies.
  • Naval Institute Trained.
  • Shipboard or 3+ years of working experience in similar capacity.
  • No experience can be considered for junior role.
  • Knowledge of Class requirements & Quality Standard requirements.
  • Trade dependent.
  • Must understand Marine/Electrical & Automation Systems equipment related schematics & arrangements.
  • Knowledge of Marine/Electrical & Automation systems equipment's operational requirements.
  • Adequate computing knowledge as well as use of Microsoft Office and e-mail.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all construction activities are completed prior to commissioning.
  • Prepares and plans deployment of workers to fulfill commissioning schedule.
  • Ensures preparation of procedures and guidelines for systematic commissioning and start-up of equipment.
  • Initiate and manage commissioning by coordinating between the company and OEM.
  • Highlight operational issues with regards to machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure OEM meets the Contractual agreement accordingly.
  • Audit work site regularly and ensure proper housekeeping.
  • Supervise onsite commissioning activities
  • Coordinate work with other trades
  • Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklist.
  • Track and review progress through HAT meetings.
  • Attend progress meetings to keep status and close issues with customers.
  • Ensure safety and precautionary requirements and procedures are followed during commissioning.
  • Compile and update commissioning report/records.
  • Assist with identification and resolution of commissioning and malfunction issues.
  • Access requirements of special tools and equipment and initiate procurement if required.
  • Review tools and equipment used for safety and efficiency.
  • Develop and update RA accordingly and enforce weekly safety briefings with supervisors and workers.
