Job summary

Public Service Division invites applications for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at Tuas South Incineration Plant. You will oversee daily operations and direct a team of technical officers to maintain high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include planning preventative and remedial maintenance, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with NEA procurement guidelines and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Process/power plant maintenance experience is preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Ability to lead and work in a team.
• Contract management experience is a plus.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Mature, independent and resourceful.
• Good presentation skills.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office and SQL.

Responsibilities

[What the role is]

You will work as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Tuas South Incineration Plant to ensure the plant and its electrical equipment are operated and maintained smoothly, safely and efficiently.

[What you will be working on]

You will be responsible for the following:

• Lead a group of technical officers to perform operation and maintenance of electrical equipment such as, high and low tension switchgear, electrical distribution and protection equipment, transformers and motors, distribution control system, instrumentation and process control, turbine and generator control and protection equipment




• Plan and carry out the preventive and remedial maintenance of all the electrical system in the plant so as to achieve high availability and ensure breakdown equipment are repaired within the shortest possible time




• Ensure all maintenance works are carried out safely and adhere to all safety regulations so as to achieve zero accident for the section




• Call and administer tenders/contract for the maintenance, servicing and repair of the electrical system in compliance to NEA procurement guidelines and IM requirements.




• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
