Job summary

Garena is seeking a Backend Engineer to lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of backend services and essential components. You will design, implement, and test scalable APIs, collaborating with fellow engineers to ensure robust, high-performance systems.

You will conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards, while participating in design discussions to enhance performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant full-time working experience as a Backend Engineer, preferably in large-scale or internet-based systems.
• Proficient in Go, Python, SQL.
• Knowledge and experience in Docker and/or Kubernetes (k8s) is preferable.
• Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures and algorithms.
• Strong problem solving skills and logical thinking.
• Open-minded, agile and proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn.
• Good team communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and accountability in delivering quality work on time.

Responsibilities
