Job summary

Search Staffing Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to drive Cortex-M HAL and SDK development for MCU devices. The role spans development, testing, and integration across multiple teams including MCU software, architecture, and SOC design.

Responsibilities include extending HAL and drivers to new platforms, defining HAL/BSP, and building examples and test cases for MCU blocks, plus pre-silicon FPGA verification and post-silicon bring-up with RTOS ports for MCUs.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 6 years of embedded software experience.
• Strong knowledge of ARM Cortex-M architectures.
• Experience with Zephyr and FreeRTOS RTOS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test the SDK on SoC devices and emulation platforms.
• Collaborate with MCU software, Architecture, and SOC Design teams to develop MCU software and tests.
• Extend hardware adaptation layer (HAL) and drivers to new platforms and MCU family members.
• Define HAL and BSP for the SDK with software architects.
• Design and maintain HAL interfaces for MCU blocks (Cache, MPU, TCM, RAM/Flash, clock, power).
• Create examples and test cases for MCU blocks.
• Contribute to pre-silicon verification on FPGA and post-silicon bring-up, verification, and debugging.
• Develop real-time OS ports for MCUs.
