Job Description
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will play an important role in the design, development, testing, and support of embedded software for next-generation Adapters and IOs. You are expected to adhere to engineering best practices and processes while collaborating with a global team of professionals. You will actively participate in or lead technical reviews with your peers, aiming to resolve problems early in the development phase. You are expected to meet project milestones and deadlines, demonstrating experience creating system documentation and reliability. You will report to the Engineering Manager-Firmware and follow a hybrid working schedule in Singapore.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware and embedded software for cutting-edge Adapters and IOs.
- Participate in technical reviews to identify issues early and propose solutions.
- Deliver project outcomes promptly.
- Contribute to a positive, innovative, and inclusive team culture.
The Essentials - You Will Have
Educational Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with a focus on Embedded Software Engineering or Master’s in Computer Science
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in developing real-time embedded systems.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of programming in C and C++
- Experience in industrial control systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in programming 32-bit microcontrollers (preferably ARM) and in developing low-level device drivers.
- Solid knowledge of RTOS and experience in developing embedded applications using RTOS.
- Experience in Communication Protocols like TCP/IP, CIP
- Knowledge of Secure Coding CERT C/C++ Standard will be an advantage.
- Experience in Security Development processes will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with unit testing methodologies
- Experience using various hardware‑assisted debugging tools
- Familiarity with Agile processes, static analysis tools, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
