Job summary

Yeng Tong Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, coordination and execution of electrical works across construction projects. You will provide technical leadership, supervise teams, and ensure compliant, safe delivery of electrical systems.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical engineering within construction or infra, with strong knowledge of HV, schematics, and CAD tools. Based at Changi East Office with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering recognized by local standards.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience in construction or infra projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Develop, review and approve electrical drawings and specs.
• Provide technical leadership in electrical design and execution.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis during installation.
• Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Prepare MOS, ITP, SWP, RFIs and other project documentation.

Join Our Team – Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experiencedSenior Electrical Engineerto lead the design, coordination, and execution of electrical engineering works across our construction projects. You will provide technical expertise, oversee project delivery, and ensure all electrical systems are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Develop, review, and approve electrical drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.

• Provide technical leadership and support in electrical engineering design, planning, and execution.

• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex electrical issues during installation and commissioning.

• Review electrical methodologies, work sequences, and interface coordination with other disciplines.

• Ensure electrical installations comply with customer requirements, applicable codes, and engineering standards.

• Coordinate and supervise installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and documentation activities.

• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to achieve project objectives.

• Resolve technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare Method of Statements (MOS), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Requests for Inspection (RFI), and other project documentation.

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and monitor project milestones.

• Lead, mentor, and supervise engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure quality and timely project delivery.

• Develop work schedules, micro programmes, and execution plans while monitoring project progress.

• Attend project meetings and technical presentations with clients and stakeholders.

• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized by BCA.

• Minimum5 years of relevant experiencein electrical engineering, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.

• Strong experience in electrical system design, installation, testing, and commissioning.

• Good knowledge of High Voltage (HV), Frequency Converters, Generator Sets, and electrical system integration, including system migration and equipment modification.

• Proficient in electrical CAD software, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and MS Project.

• Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Candidates who can commence work immediately or within a short notice period will have an added advantage.

• Alternate Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
